Ezziestar calls a clan meeting

((In respect of the time skip, I need to pick a deputy for Tawnyclan... otherwise the clan would be in trouble, or at least more stressed if she hasn't done anything about it. ))

Ezziestar, leader of Tawnyclan entered Tawnyclan camp. She looked around briefly, remembering how the clan used to be, it felt like forever since they were home last.

Without hesitating, Ezziestar quickly limped up to Highbranch. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here, beneath High Branch, for a Clan meeting."
Stone went along to where he believed the clan members were supposed to gather. He took the time to gingerly groom the areas around his wounds, slightly wining when he accidentally went over a sore.

Ezziestar patiently waited for the clan to gather. Once when the clan gathered, she began, "I know you all may be exhausted from the battle. It was ferocious and we lost many." She paused, her teeth were clenched as she recalled the events.

"I will sit vigil around camp, you are all free to do so if you wish."

She paused, to let the news sink in. She then continued, "The time has come to appoint a new deputy. I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice. Swiftwind will be the new deputy."

Again she paused to look at the senior warrior, now deputy. She began to silently pray that she made the right choice.

Stone took the break as an opportunity to congratulate the tom, before Ezziestar continued.
She gave the clan time for brief words before turning to Stone from where she stood. Stone titled his head to one side, wondering what was going through her head.

"I recall Lokistar offering you the opportunity to stay with Tawnyclan, Stone."
Stone's sideways glance changed back to normal. "Please step up."
Stone slowly made his way up so he was next to Ezziestar where she stood.
"Stone, do you want to stay with Tanwyclan?"
Stone lifted his head up, for he was looking down at the cats of the clan, "I do." His response made Ezziestar smile in response, she dipped her head to him. Before turning to address the clan.

"From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will be called Stonepaw. Solarstorm, You have been a Loyal and Determined warrior of Tawnyclan. May you pass down all you know to this your apprentice."

Stonepaw's eyes almost glowed with excitement. Stonepaw! I'm now a Tawnyclan apprentice.

Ezziestar then concluded the ceremony, "Thank you everyone. This clan meeting is over." With this Ezziestar made her way down from Tall branch. She then made her way to the camp center, stopping briefly to heave a sigh, as she approached the place where she chose to sit vigil. She murmured silent words, as if the bodies of her fallen comrades were there. Before sitting upright, turning her attention to the sky.

Stonepaw watched for a brief moment, before joining the vigil, He crouched towards the ground, "I may not have known this clan for long. I'm sorry I can't bring anyone back." He slowly backed off sitting some ways away from where Ezziestar sat. She knew the clan longer than I did... It doesn't feel right to bother her right now.

((With this I conclude. This took me 2- 3 hours to write. XD I'm pooped.))

Swiftwind was somewhat surprised by the fact he was chosen to be deputy. Honeyfang, Leopardstorm and Solarstorm all joined in on calling on his name. They all joined together to sit for the vigil for their lost clan mates.

Oak joined them though both Solarstorm and Swiftwind sent him dirty looks.
Swiftwind looked around the camp... well there was nothing left, the brambles had been burned away, leaving no cover, the dens were gone, all that remained was the leader's den and half 0f the apprentice's den. I will  have to discuss finding a new home with Ezziestar... He thought sadly,but tonight we should all stop in the apprentice den and then Myself and... Oak can go find a new camp.

The black tabby tom glanced at Oak whose head was bowed. Swiftwind didn't trust him and was not close to forgiving him. Wolffang and Skyblaze were dead, it was that mangy tom's fault too.

He breathed out slowly, I will think of those lost for now, this is not the time or the place to be stirring these thoughts in my mind.

Solarstorm felt his bones ache at the thought of taking on Stonepaw as an apprentice, but it would be important for Tawnyclan to have more warriors. As the oldest cat now in the forest. He was very qualified for fast training, he had a lot of knowledge stored up in his head and now he thought about it... the prospect sounded quite exciting and he would lie down when Tawnyclan was as strong as the last night Lokistar slept peacefully.


OOC: I sent you a note but saying here as well that The Tawneyclan camp was burned down, so we will have to say they found a new one, you can read what it looks like by just looking at the Camp category xxx

((I feel so embarrassed that I wasn't aware of the extent of the damage after the fire. Somehow I didn't receive the note?))

Ezziestar had many thoughts rushing through her head, she knew that now was the worst time to be leaving behind the camp that once was where they lived since she recalled. She quietly used the vigil as time to reflect on the past events.

She quietly prayed to Starclan, Starclan, Where do we go? I know I've done things wrong... But where will we find camp? If only you were here Lokistar... You'd know what to do... we lost so many good warriors after I lead this clan to battle... and the fire.

She closed her eyes, as she pictured her mentor and friend beside her. She recalled the times when she went through training, and the stories she told Stormclaw when he was a kit. She sighed inwardly as she opened her eyes to see the camp from her memories fade back into the camp that she saw now.

She shivered as she could feel the breeze due to no cover or barriers blocking the wind. She slowly got to her paws and padded around the boundaries of the camp, as if patrolling to ensure the clan isn't attacked by any intruders. Before sitting inside the camp amongst the ash from the fire.

(Ooc: I think my PC is playing up as its not sending messages through yahoo either grrr)

The night began to draw inward.
