Ravenswift's urgent message

Ravenswift came dashing as quick as a lion into the camp, blood trickling like a waterfall down his head and into his blotched fur. His fur bristling across his spine.
The second he was in the middle of the clearing, he stopped, fear burning in his eyes " BADGER!" he yelled " ON THE BORDER! It-" He then coughed up blood, staining the grass before him. The image of the camp began to blur around him, soon the sun's rays blinded his sight, and he collapsed on the blood stained grass, breathing ever so slightly.

OOC: as you may have noticed, the badger seriously injured him in the noggin

OOC: What's a noggin?

IC: Jayleaf heard somebody, and quickly hurried out of the Elder's Den. he had just finished getting some bothersome ticks off of Raggedwisp so his paws reeked of Mousebile. He saw Ravenswift on the ground, panting heavily with blood spilling from his wounds very quickly. "Great Starclan!" Jayleaf gasped, running to the young warrior's side. "Come on, I need to get you into the Medicine Den. You're bleeding heavily!" he ordered. His green eyes flashed as he checked his Clanmate over. I wonder what happened. I'll have to ask him when he feels better. Now isn't the right time.

OOC: A noggin is your brain.
IC: Raggedwisp groaned, he was having trouble keeping up with Jayleaf. The young 'un had forgotten to apply a poultrice to his sore pads! He knew it was mouse-brained to go after the medicine cat for such a small problem, but he wanted to make sure Jayleaf didn't make it a habit to keep being so lazy.

OOC: or it can be just your head/skull

IC: only having the smallest trace of strength left, he only slightly felt himself being dragged across the grass. The same terrifying scene swept through his mind over and over, the badger pouncing out of the brambles, blood scattered everywhere, drooling nearly madly, and then, SMACK! Over and over, the same thing ran through his mind. It seemed worse then the dark forest itself!

"Not today Raggedwisp. Even your eyes can see that this warrior is injured." Jayleaf mewed irritably. He picked up Ravenswift by the scruff and dragged him to the entrance of the Medicine Den. He heard Ravenswift moaning quietly. Great, he's having a nightmare. Though I can't lose him. He's too valuable a Warrior and too young a cat.

"Not today!" Raggedwisp mocked Jayleaf's tone. "Then when? Five moons later? Young 'uns today just aren't the same as in the good old days." the old tom began to stroll back after Jayleaf and Ravenswift.

Ravenswift began to regain conciseness, and moaned. it was like a typhoon in his head, pounding continuously. He opened his eyes seeing the figure of Jayleaf through the scorching sunlight, and began wiggle out of his grip. Slowly he stood up, slightly shivering from loss of blood. " I can walk by myself" he moaned.

OOC: woot something is actually happening lol!
IC:
Daystar charged out of the leaders den and his eyes flickered with surprise.
"Ravenswift?What on earth happened?"
It was a day after the gathering and Whitehare had gone missing, he'd guessed she
was looking for her brother; but losing two valuable warriors in two days!

OOC: lol

IC: Ravenswift sighed and turned to his leader, trying to look calm and strong " a badger attacked me while I was hunting" he began " it came out of nowhere, no trace of it's scent was around" he felt his fur just slightly bristle of the thought.

Mistpaw's pads began to prickle and the fur along her spine began to rise, Badgers! The memory of the bulky black and white creatures barging into the camp, their beady eyes glinted in the sun as they tore cats, the screeching and the blood that was spilled when they were snapping their jaws. Mistpaw dug her claws into the ground, then she blinked. The picture was gone but the sound of the creature's snapping jaws still hung in her head. Mistpaw suppressed a shudder, the memory was still raw in her mind, as if it was only yesterday.

Mistpaw suddenly felt lost, the ground wasn't stable beneath her. A voice hissed into her ear, "Blood be shed, beware the storm..." Mistpaw yowled, "What are you trying to say?" But there was no reply, and Mistpaw didn't realize that she had yowled out loud.

Jayleaf helped Ravenswift walk into the Med. Den. He left the injured tom laying on a nice moss bed. "Mistpaw, please get some cob-" he was cut off by Mistpaw's yowl. He turned to look at her with concern in his green eyes. "Is there something wrong?" he asked gently. He didn't think she was insane, though he did want to know why she yowled. Shaking the thought away, he turned to Ravenswift. "It's OK. You won't die. Hopefully." He didn't turn at all. Jayleaf held up his tail and flicked it, to signal for Daystar and Raggedwisp to go out. The blue-gray tabby tom picked up a piece of green moss and dipped it into a water bowl. Now soaking wet and darkened by water, Jayleaf took the moss and gave it to Ravenswift to drink from.

Ravenswift drank from the moss and slightly gasped when he was done " hopefully?" he asked, a slight tone of fear in his voice, he didn't want to die... nor did he intend to.
Then, he felt a cold chill go down his spine (aftershock), making his thick fur bristle slightly.

"Just a joke. Don't worry, I'll fix you up." Jayleaf laughed. He sat down, waiting for Mistpaw to bring the cobwebs. He planned to revise with her on how to apply cobwebs-and maybe marigold if required. The blue-gray tom rested his tail on Ravenswift, calming him from the aftershock.

Daystar worriedly padded out and retreated to his den for some thinking time.

To avoid answering Jayleaf, Mistpaw fetched the cobweb as she was told.

Ravenswift watched Jayleaf work, attempting to relax his aching head "out of all the days" he giggled sarcasticly. Even though he felt like ice claws raking down his spine, he somehow made his fur lay flat like it was before

Jayleaf nodded towards Mistpaw, and asked her to come over. Once she did, he would review with her on applying cobwebs to wounds to stop the blood from spilling.

Mistpaw hastily padded over, fear still gripped her heart at what she had heard and seen just before.

OOC: I'M ALIVVVE!!!!

IC: Ravenswift watched Mistpaw walk over with the cobwebs, a slight tinge of happiness swell through his throat. But looking closer, he noticed that the apprentice was scared " it's okay, at least that badger didn't get my chest" he smirked, trying to make her feel better.

A shiver crept down Mistpaw's spine, she smiled to hide her appearance of fear. Beware the storm... what does that mean? She then Meowed to Jayleaf, "Jayleaf, could I ask you something in private?"

"Yes, yes, but after we help this poor kit out shall we?" Jayleaf humorously answered. he tried to keep her calm, knowing that what she may say might be the reason she was so scared. Pushing the thought aside, the blue-gray tabby gently took the cobwebs from her, and beckoned her with his tail to watch carefully. The Medicine Cat wasted no time at all in applying the sticky, white nets to the bloody red wounds that Ravenswift suffered from the badger attack. "I wonder if Daystar's doing something about the badger?" Jayleaf wondered aloud, speaking to no one in particular. After he was finished, the tom went to the stone pool to wash his paws of the blood. Then, he padded over to Ravenswift. "OK, now rest. Don't go anywhere, and if anyone asks where I've gone, tell them I went with Mistpaw to collect some herbs, which we will." After telling him what the warrior needed to know, the Medicine Cat bounded out of the den, and gestured to Mistpaw to come. Making sure she followed, he bounded out of the camp, and into the forest. I wonder what she wants to talk to me about?

Mistpaw followed without hesitation. Now I'm even closer to solving this... Thing.

Ravenswift watched the medicine cat leave the den. He then lied his head down and shut his eyes, falling back into a deep sleep. Instead of having the nightmare of the badger, he dreamed of ripping it's fur off and banishing it out of the territory.

Once at a good distance out of camp, Jayleaf whirled around to face his apprentice. The leaves in the forest canopy were reflected in his deep green eyes. "So, what do you want to talk to me about?" he asked, brushing away some dead leaves before sitting. He forced a smile to reassure her. He didn't want her lying, and she'd have to be honest about this......thing. While waiting for the reply, he pondered on what it could be, and, he hoped that Ravenswift had listened to him.

Mistpaw took a deep breath, "When we were at the gathering... I got some warning, Something about being warned about a storm that killed a she cat apprentice I had never seen before. An eagle went in to challenge the storm," She trembled, "But the eagle was stricken and died, the eagle was a Tom cat, but I don't know him either. A voice had hissed in my ear... 'Beware of the storm,' and something about Night following."
Her meow almost turned to a wail but Mistpaw controlled it, "I don't know what the vision is about! How can I be a good medicine cat if I can't have dreams that make more sense?"
