Abyssclan Duties Empty Abyssclan Duties

Post by Longstorm Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:20 am

The LEADER of Abyssclan is different from the other Leaders. The leader was never a Deputy, nor was he chosen randomly. The leader is born into the position, a King, the direct descendant of the first leader of Abyssclan.
This cat may only be female if no other male successor is available. A tom born of a she-cat of the Scourge bloodline is automatically in last place for leadership.

This cat is loved and worshiped by the cats he rules with an iron paw. It isn't often the Leader takes a Choosing, but the Choosing usually becomes one of the best warriors Abyssclan has seen.
This tom is usually quiet, cold and calculating.

PROTECTOR(s) is similar to Deputy, but does not become Leader when the Leader dies. This cat(s) is sworn to protect to the Leader of Abyssclan, risking life and limb when needed.
This cat(s) proves him/herself by defending the Clan Leader when the Clan Leader cannot defend himself.
This cat(s) is not second-in-command, but are of equal rank with Menders (except on medical matters).

The personality of this cat(s) varies, but is usually prideful, loving no one but himself and his Leader.

WARRIORS, male and female, are the fighters of the clan. They patrol the borders with the thought of a fight heavy on their minds - they look forward to the thought of shedding blood and take pride in terrorizing cats of other clans. They practically worship the Leader.
Not every Warrior receives a Choosing.

These cats are usually cunning and ruthless, and do not care about what happens to cats of other Clans - they care for the Choosings, but not exactly for each other.

CHOOSINGS, males and females, train to become Warriors, Mender, Circle, or a Servant. This is the most important point of the cat's lives, when they choose what they believe in. It is possible for a Choosing to become a Warrior as young as 7 moons; it really depends on when they kill their first cat.

These cats are unsure of themselves in their first few days, but they quickly harden and meld with the ways of the Abyssclan Warrior.

MENDER, sometimes two at once, male and/or female, is like the med. cat of the clan, only without the spiritual part. They are of slightly higher rank than a Warrior. The Clan Leader takes heed of their medical suggestions.

This cat(s) is can act like anything, do anything - except NOT heal - because they have the rank and right to do so.

SERVANTS are the helpers of the clan. They can do a little bit of everything; fight, heal, read, sing, teach, mentor, hunt - whatever is required of them. Sometimes a Servant can pledge him/herself to one cat, but they don't have to unless they're told by the King/they want to.
This is a respected position as these cats typically know more than a Warrior, and can pass notes with a Circle member.

They are the loved and appreciated ones of the Clan, male or female.

THE CIRCLE is like a group of scholars. They're like the Powerfuls/Advisors, but without the spiritual part, and more the ancient teachings knowledge part.
This group usually never exceeds twelve members, and all of these cats are required to have a basic knowledge of fighting and hunting before joining this group, and they must maintain that knowledge to stay in it.
These cats learn about symbols, the secret language of Scourge, the written language of Scourge, the songs of Abyssclan, the History of Abyssclan, the Stories of the Trioed Clans, politics, ect., ect.
These cats are also responsible over the maintenance of the Archives, as well as the Burial Tunnels.

IT'S FREAKING HARD WORK, OK? YOU MUST DEDICATE YOURSELF!

POWERFULS/ADVISORS are like the Medicine Cat of the clan - at least, the spiritual part of a med. cat.
These three toms (known for their abnormal golden eyes) are said to possess great powers, and it is also said that they can never die. Why is the latter said? Because it would seem that it's always three toms, another only appears when one dies, and they all have the same memories as their predecessors.
These cats are responsible for the welfare of the entire Clan and communicating with Those Above.
Little more is known, but they always help when needed.

These cats are second-in-command to the King.
