Probably is. No idea what a normal child horse is called. *retarded .U.*

Baby horses are called foals. when they no longer need their mothers milk they become either a filly or a colt.
Colt=male
Filly=Female
when they reach sexual maturity at around 2 years six months, they become a mare (female horse) or a stallion (entire male horse).
If the stallion is gelded (neutered or cut) it becomes a gelding. You can actually get a mare spayed but its rare and I don't know much about a mare getting spayed... I know they do.
A season is basically a horses version of being in heat. Say no more on that.
a foal will generally not wean to solid foods until 5-6 months.
(I own five horses, ask me anything lol)
